Basil Gimlet
4-5 fresh basil leaves
1.5 oz. Gin
3/4 oz. lime juice
.5 oz. simple syrup or agave nectar
Tear basil leaves in half, then muddle in a cocktail shaker. Add all liquid ingredients, then add a measure of ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass or vintage coup and garnish with an edible flower!
