27th Annual Thanksgiving Wine Picks

Best Sparkling

2018 Breathless Blanc De Noirs, Sonoma/Carneros – $36

Ultimate crowd pleaser. Awesome acid. Dry and delicious. Vibrant. Could be your one wine, start to finish. Tantalizing. Tastes expensive.

Best Rosé

2021 Flaunt Rosé of Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast – $24

Fresh, friendly, and fabulous. Lively. Juicy and exciting. Fun and feisty. Grapefruit-y, citrusy, rose petal-y yummy. Gorgeously balanced. Great with turkey and all the sides.

Best White

2021 Imagery Estate White Burgundy, North Coast – $36

Stunning, sexy, superstar. Great texture and finish. Perfect million dollar match with turkey and all the things. Luxurious and luscious. Pure rock and roll.

Best Red

2019 Knotty Vines Pinot Noir, CA – $14.99

Savory and sumptuous. Velvety and yummy. Easy like a Sunday morning. “I’ll take it in a supersized glass please.” Notes of earth, spice, and all things nice. Turkey teaser and relative pleaser.

Runner up:

2018 Gary Farrell Pinot Noir Hallberg Vineyard, Russian River Valley – $55

Fur rug and cigar smoke vibes. Impressive. Elegant. Great food wine. This wine goes with all the things, but most important – the turkey.

Best Dessert

2019 Comstock Late Harvest Zinfandel – $34

Hints of cocoalicious-covered berries. Holiday in your mouth. Plums, spice, dancing bear-ies. This ain’t yo daddy’s pie. Happy ending. Dessert in a glass, it’s a big treat.
